Walking A Mile In Someone Elses Shoes.

Before I was a Mum I was very judgmental.

I would make loud comments about people, I was very hurtful towards people I didn't even know but would get upset if someone did it to me.

As a teen I was bullied, a lot.

You don't realize the sort of effect words and actions can have towards someone.

People lose their life from bullying, bullies take away so many things out of the life of the person they are bullying and for what reason? Is it to feel powerful? To feel like you have some kind of control of someone's life that you wish was your own?

People are bullied for so many stupid reasons! A lot of the victims are unique!

A birth defect, over weight, under weight, an abnormality, skin colour, sexuality, religion, disability, sex, looks!

Why do we feel the need to put someone down for the way they were made?

How can we prevent bullying in our lives?

How do we protect our children from being the victim? Or worse how can we stop our child from being the bully?

Everyday for the rest of my life I will make sure I think about other peoples feelings before I pass judgement!

Bullying needs to be stopped!

Friends Vs. Baby

I was a typical 20 year old Girl, I would party a few times a month, go shopping all the time and work hard to pay for it all.

At the end of April 2011 I missed my period!

In absolute shock I went to the supermarket and got a pregnancy test.

I was pregnant and we had only been trying for a month!

Then Came the fun part, detoxing myself out of my party lifestyle because I was now responsible for a little peanut.

Shortly after the detox, It would seem that my "friends" had taken a detox of me.

I would message them trying to catch up, go out for lunch or even just go catch a movie and to my surprise I'd get no reply.

A few of my closer friends stood by me but the rest are now history.

What makes being pregnant so intimidating? What is it about a baby that makes people think you are suddenly unable to hold a normal conversation?

I lost a lot of people I thought I was close to over 9 months but I have also made a few new closer friends.

My Son means more to me than anyone else in the world and if I could do it all again I would, My family comes first and if you are a close enough friend to me I will do anything for you!

A Smile A Day!

Everyday my little man puts the biggest smile on my face.

After not heading out to spend time away from the house I decided town was a must over the weekend.

While shopping we stumbled across a gorgeous stuffed toy horse that you can sit on.

Who wouldn't smile at this :)

Here are 11 things about me!!
  1. I am 21 years old.

  3. I suffer from Postnatal depression!
  4. My Husband and I still live with my parents.
  5. I am addicted to chocolate!

  8. I am a crafty mumma!
  9. I own too many pairs of shoes.
  10. I a terrified of storms.
  11. I am an only child.

The Questions I was asked:

1. What made you start blogging? I started blogging as an outlet to my thoughts and sometimes my frustration! I have given myself a way to meet new people from across the world and share my life with friends and strangers!

2. What is your favorite lipstick? Ohh this is a hard one. I am not a real lipstick wearer so if and when I do its normally nude and a gloss over the top.

3. Are you a tea or coffee drinker? I am a coffee drinker, I think I have had about 4-5 today alone. I'm a standard white and two girl so feel free to bring me one any time :)

4. What time do you get up in the morning? I have been extremely lazy lately and am not getting up until 9.30am but its nice to enjoy a sleep in and cuddles in bed with my Son every morning.

5. What book are you currently reading? I have just finished reading the 50 shades trilogy (I adored them) I have now moved on to something completely different called 'Fun & Games' about hitmen!

6. What colour nail varnish are you wearing right now? I currently have no polish on due to just removing acrylics, my nails need a breather!

7. What music do you like listening to? I like to listen to a vast range of music, I'm loving 'Small Bump' by Ed Sheeran, Skrilex and anything that I can dance too.

8. What is your most prized possession? Hmm, apart from my Family. It would have to be my Iphone! Haha I don't think I think I would be able to function without it, it has absolutely everything I need on it and if it doesn't then I just download it from the app store.

9. What is the furthest place you have traveled to? The furthest place I have traveled to is the Whitsundays in Queensland, Australia. was beautiful to lay on the beaches, it was way to hot most days to even go outside so you would just sit in front of the air conditioning all day but it was still the most amazing place in the world that I have seen.

10. If you were having a romantic meal cooked for you, what would be on the menu? well, For entree I'd have crayfish, prawns and muscles, I adore seafood and if I could I'd eat it all the time. Main would be steak and vegetables with a yummy mushroom sauce. Dessert, anything chocolate and I'm yours.

11. If you could close your eyes and be taken anywhere in the world, where would you be when you opened your eyes?  This one is a tricky one as there are some many places I want to go. I'd love to wake up at Disneyland as I am an adrenalin junky and live life from one thrill to the next but with saying that, my sensible side would love to wake up at Paris Fashion Week.

Wow, I totally had to rake my brains for that.

So, here are my questions

1. Why do you love blogging?
2. If you could bring one person back to life, who would it be and why?
3. What is your life long goal/s?
4. What is the most embarrassing thing you have done in public?
5. What is your all time favorite  movie?
6. What is the most thrilling thing you have ever done?
7. What piece of technology couldn't you live without?
8. What is your biggest fear?
9. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
10. Do you have any hobbies other than blogging?
11. Celebrity crush?

Nan H.A Gold Formula,

Ever since my Son was 6 weeks old I have bottle feed him Nan H.A Gold baby formula.
Recently Nestle change the ingredients in the "new improved" formula and now a lot of babies including mine have been getting rashes, windy, diarrhea and throwing up also having restless nights sleep.

I put the rash down to a biscuit that Toby had eaten the day before his rash appeared and I assumed the sleepless nights was just teething.

Oh how wrong I was!

I have read a lot of articles about other babies with a few of these symptoms since being on the new Nan Formula.

I have changed his formula and so far we are going well.

A smile a day!

From now on I'm going to blog a smile a day.

I will use it to look back on things that made me smile while I was recovering from PND.

Today I have two smiles!

1. Toby learning how to squeal when getting over excited.

2. Toby falling asleep with his Grandad while I had a shower!

Getting back on track.

In all honesty how could I not get back on track!

He's the love of my life along with his daddy!

I hope that even when you have those dark days that you remember that there are people that can help but you have to take the first step into admitting there is a problem!

Love you all!

Yesterday,

I was diagnosed with Postnatal Depression.

I am still confused with this diagnoses,
But after thinking about it, it explains so much.

My days started molding into one,
I am dazed, lost, unhappy and confused.
I yelled at my husband daily.
Snapped at my parents.
Ditched my friends.
Stopped working my horses.
Worst of all,
I paid less attention to my Son.

It got me thinking I really know nothing about PND.
I didn't realize that you could get it up to 12 months after a baby.
I didn't know that it effects almost 1 in 6 women giving birth in Aus.

I don't really understand what brought on my depression,
My son is an angel and sleeps well and doesn't cry much,
My Husband works hard and provides for T and I.

I am very lucky to have a strong support structure but it doesn't stop the feelings of worthlessness, the loneliness, the anger and the depression!

My doctor has given me two weeks to give up binge eating chocolate (4-5 blocks a week) and also find that I have low vitamin D levels.

I have chosen to get better!

I will get better!

My Family need me!
